what's in a name...

Jared and I are very excited that we have settled on a name for our little man.  We had quite a few girl names that we agreed on but, had a difficult time coming up with boy names (and of course we are having a little boy).  We ending up having about 8 names picked and we decided to each rank the names from our favorite to our least favorite.  Needless to say my favorite names were on the bottom of Jared's list and his favorite names were on the bottom of name.  I guess you could say that strategy didn't work too well but, we were eventually able to settle on a name that we both LOVE now....

Lil' Jones' name will be Grayson Richard Jones!  We absolutely love it!  We decided on the middle name of Richard in honor of my grandfather Richard Parker who went missing almost a year ago.  We wanted to honor him and carry on his name which means so much to us!  It is also special because Jared is named after his maternal grandfather and Grayson will be named after his maternal grandfather as well. 

We are super excited to be able to call our little man by name and we cannot wait for Grayson to get here!!! 

registering = overwhelming

Jared and I went to Babies R Us and Target tonight to register for Lil' Jones and WOW...there are tons of baby items out there!  I have to say we were quite overwhelmed but managed to keep on going.  We did have a lot of fun looking at the baby toys and registered for most of them (just in case you check out our registries and wonder why we have so many toys).  Even though is was definitely overwhelming we really did have a blast looking at all the baby goodies and necessities and realizing that in just a few months these items will be used in our home.  It is becoming more real each day and we are getting so excited.

So, I actually have a favor to ask of the few mommies that follow my blog...please comment or email to let me know of any baby items that I cannot live without OR items that will register for but will never get touched!  I will take any advice I can get and really would appreciate it.

By the way, keep a lookout for nursery updates.  Jared and I are busy working on the nursery this week and have a few more things to get done on Saturday and we will be almost finished...or so we think!   

spring break

I am so excited that spring break is here.  The past week at school was incredibly exhausting and it will be nice to get some R&R this week.  However, I have a lot planned to get done during my break so, I am hoping to fit it all in as well as a few naps...we'll see how it goes.

I can't believe that I am 22 weeks already!  It is amazing how quickly time has gone by.  Yesterday, Jared was able to take a belly picture (first one this pregnancy because I am not a picture person).  Maybe I will get better about taking pictures for the rest of the pregnancy...but then again maybe not. 

Thanks to everyone that gave their opinion on the travel system.  We decided we are going to go with the Midori (green).  Since it doesn't have a pattern we figured it would last longer and probably won't get outdated like the other patterns we chose.  So excited!!!

decisions...decisions...

Jared and I are trying to decide which travel system we like the best.  We know we want to get a Chicco Cortina Travel System with the KeyFit car seat but can't decide which pattern to get.  Please help by leaving a comment and letting us know which one you like best...

we're ready to rock

...literally!  We got our new recliner in today that my parents got us for Lil' Jones!  Jared and my Dad went to pick it up and got is set up in the nursery today.  It is super comfortable and looks amazing in the nursery.  I can't wait to rock my little man to sleep!
